Wall color can truly transform a space – for better and worse. It can deter buyers from a home (yikes, look at those bright yellow walls!) or, if the colors are neutral and on-trend, it can help sell a house. Lighter walls photograph well and can also hide blemishes that darker colors may highlight.
Wall color isn’t something that just comes in to play for home buying and selling though; it is also a great, inexpensive way to update your current space. Check out these before and afters!
Amber’s Kitchen – Before
When Amber moved into her home in 2019, it was very dark and had dated colors. Her kitchen has beautifully updated backsplash, countertops and cabinetry, but they were downplayed by the rich red color the previous homeowners had painted.
Amber’s Kitchen – After
Changing out the wall color to Benjamin Moore - Balboa Mist and updating the lighting makes Amber’s kitchen look like a completely different space. This inexpensive fix took just a weekend to complete. What a transformation!
